Final Prototype

Design Process

Sketches
These are the sketches I created for the app. Before sketching, I analyzed several competitor apps to understand common patterns, usability strengths, and gaps in their designs. This helped me identify what I wanted to improve and guided me in planning key screens such as the splash screen, home, description, account, live occupancy, calendar, favorites, and login screen.

Wireframes
After careful consideration, I selected the layout styles I wanted to use for the screens and developed these high-fidelity wireframes. These layouts directly address several issues found in the original app, improving clarity through cleaner hierarchy, reducing navigation friction with more intuitive pathways, and enhancing overall usability by organizing content in a more consistent and visually approachable way.

Branding
These are the fonts, colors, and assets I used for this app. While Purdue RecWell has its own established identity, I aimed to create a more modern and distinct approach for this project by developing its own branding while still reflecting key elements of Purdue’s style.
